From Scan Data to Point Clouds, 3DGS, and CAD Drafts

SHARE PointClouds Studio is the data processing and deliverables software designed for SHARE3DCAM devices. It supports point cloud processing, 3DGS reconstruction, point cloud viewing, measurement, and section extraction. Newly added CAD floor plan generation, section generation, and editing and drawing functions allow users to generate CAD drafts from point clouds and continue editing them. It also adds RCS point cloud export, helping 3D scan data enter renovation design, construction management, and project handoff workflows.

Yes. SHARE PointClouds Studio is currently available free of charge. No separate software purchase, perpetual license, or annual license fee is currently required.

Project data is processed locally on the user’s Windows workstation. Processing capacity depends on the computer configuration, project size, point density, 3DGS complexity, and available GPU memory.

SHARE PointClouds Studio is designed for SHARE3DCAM device workflows and mainly processes compatible scan projects captured with SHARE3DCAM devices.

Yes. The software can generate CAD floor plan and section drafts from point cloud data. The output can be used for further editing, correction, drawing, and professional refinement.

CAD drafts can be exported in .DWG and .DXF formats. Supported point cloud output formats include .LAS, .PLY, .E57, .PCD, and .RCS. Available options may depend on the processed data type and current software version.

Yes. SHARE PointClouds Studio supports 3DGS reconstruction for visual site review, remote communication, client presentation, construction discussion, and site recall.

No. A CUDA-supported NVIDIA GPU is required. AMD graphics cards are not currently supported for SHARE PointClouds Studio processing.

At least 8GB of dedicated GPU memory is recommended for point cloud functions. At least 12GB of dedicated GPU memory is recommended for 3DGS functions.

Yes. Highly reflective materials, mirrors, glass, and water surfaces can affect captured data and processing results. Project conditions should be reviewed before scanning and processing.
