Data Processing Software

SHARE PointClouds Studio

From Scan Data to Point Clouds, 3DGS, and CAD Drafts

SHARE PointClouds Studio is the data processing and deliverables software designed for SHARE3DCAM devices. It supports point cloud processing, 3DGS reconstruction, point cloud viewing, measurement, and section extraction. Newly added CAD floor plan generation, section generation, and editing and drawing functions allow users to generate CAD drafts from point clouds and continue editing them. It also adds RCS point cloud export, helping 3D scan data enter renovation design, construction management, and project handoff workflows.

SHARE PointClouds Studio is SHARE3DCAM software for data processing and deliverables from compatible SHARE3DCAM devices. It supports workflows such as point cloud processing, 3DGS reconstruction, point cloud viewing, measurement, section extraction, CAD draft workflows, export workflows, and project delivery.

SHARE PointClouds Studio is used for data processing and deliverables from SHARE3DCAM devices. It supports workflows such as point cloud processing, 3DGS reconstruction, point cloud viewing, measurement, section extraction, CAD draft workflows, export workflows, and project delivery.

Yes. SHARE PointClouds Studio is designed for SHARE3DCAM device workflows. It mainly processes compatible SHARE3DCAM scan data and helps generate point clouds, 3DGS-related deliverables, CAD drafts, and other project files for review, measurement, and downstream delivery.

Yes. SHARE PointClouds Studio supports generating CAD floor plan drafts and section drafts from point cloud data. These CAD drafts can be used as a drawing foundation for further editing, correction, tracing, and refinement in downstream CAD workflows.

No. The CAD output should be understood as a fast CAD draft or drawing foundation, not a final construction drawing. Professional manual correction, review, and refinement are still required before the drawings are used for formal design, construction, or delivery purposes.

The page currently presents export workflows including .LAS, .PLY, .E57, .PCD, .DWG, RCS, and 3DGS-related deliverables. The actual supported export range may depend on the current software version, device workflow, and project data, so users should check the latest software information or contact SHARE3DCAM for confirmation.

Point clouds are better suited for measurement, section extraction, CAD draft generation, engineering review, and project handoff. 3DGS is better suited for visual site reconstruction, remote browsing, client presentation, and construction communication where a more realistic scene view is useful.

Yes. SHARE PointClouds Studio supports 3DGS reconstruction workflows for compatible SHARE3DCAM scan data. 3DGS results are useful for visual site reconstruction, remote browsing, client presentation, and communication around construction or project environments.

No. SHARE PointClouds Studio processing requires a CUDA-supported NVIDIA GPU. AMD processors with equivalent CPU performance may be suitable, but AMD graphics cards are not currently supported for SHARE PointClouds Studio processing.

We recommend Windows 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i7 13th Gen or above or an AMD processor with equivalent performance, an NVIDIA RTX 3060 or above, 64 GB RAM or more, and at least 100 GB of available disk space. For graphics memory, at least 8 GB dedicated VRAM is recommended for point cloud reconstruction, and at least 12 GB dedicated VRAM is recommended for 3D Gaussian reconstruction.

Point cloud reconstruction and 3D Gaussian reconstruction can require significant graphics processing resources, especially for larger projects or more complex scan data. A CUDA-supported NVIDIA GPU with sufficient dedicated VRAM helps improve processing stability and reduces the risk of failure caused by insufficient graphics memory.

Yes. An internet connection is required for login, registration, and log uploads. We recommend bandwidth above 5 Mbps. Processing performance still depends mainly on the local computer configuration, especially the CPU, NVIDIA GPU, VRAM, memory, and available disk space.

First check your computer configuration, NVIDIA graphics card environment, available disk space, network connection, and software version. If the issue continues, contact the SHARE3DCAM team and provide your project information, processing workflow, computer configuration, and log files so the team can help troubleshoot the issue.

Yes. Highly reflective, transparent, or low-texture surfaces may affect scan data quality and processing results, especially in point cloud and 3DGS-related workflows. For better results, users should avoid relying only on reflective surfaces and should confirm the capture method based on the actual project environment.

If your project requires specific deliverables such as point clouds, CAD drafts, RCS workflows, 3DGS results, measurement, section extraction, or downstream Revit, CAD, or BIM use, please contact SHARE3DCAM with your project requirements. The team can help confirm device suitability, software workflow, export format, and computer configuration before you start the project.
