Data Processing Quick Guide
From import to analysis
Get started with SHARE PointClouds Studio in a simple step-by-step workflow. This guide follows the actual tutorial videos and walks you through software installation, project creation, point cloud calculation, result viewing, and analysis tools.
Install Studio
- Download SHARE PointClouds Studio from the download page shown in the tutorial.
- Prepare your collected raw data on your computer before creating a new task.
- Open the software and enter the Home page.
Create Project
- Click Data Calculation to create a new project.
- Set the Project Name and Storage Path.
- Add the raw data to the project.
- Choose the projection coordinate system you need.
- Use the search box to find the coordinate system code.
Run Calculation
- Open the Mapping Parameters panel before calculation.
- Turn on the options you need, including RTK Fusion, Control Point Calibration, Point Cloud Colorization, Dynamic Object Filtering, and Distortion-removed photo output.
- Choose the output format you need, such as LAS, PLY, or PCD.
- Apply the parameters and start the calculation.
- If calculation issues occur, upload the log and contact SHARE technical support through the log page shown in the tutorial.
View Results
- Return to the project list after processing is complete.
- Open the processed project to browse the point cloud.
- Use the folder button to open the result files.
- Use the data management panel to search and organize point cloud files.
- Adjust visibility, point type, point size, coloring mode, and opacity while viewing the model.
Analyze Data
- Use coloring modes such as RGB, Elevation, and Monochrome for different analysis needs.
- Use the clipping tools to remove unwanted areas, draw a closed region, or work with the 3D clipping box.
- Use the measurement tools to check point coordinates, two-point distance, multi-point measurement, angle, and area.
- Use PointCloud Comparison to display different files in split-screen view.
- Use Image Comparison to review the point cloud together with real images and the floor plan.
