SHARE SLAM S20 Quick Guide
From installation to scanning workflow
Get started with SHARE SLAM S20 in a simple step-by-step workflow. This guide walks you through installation, device connection, project setup, initialization, RTK settings, control point setup, and practical scanning tips.
Before your first scan, make sure the device is assembled correctly and ready to use.
- Check that the main components are included.
- Attach the positioning base plate.
- Connect the battery handle to the LiDAR head.
- Make sure the device is powered on and ready for the next step.
S20 works with SHARE Capture for device connection and scan control.
- Open SHARE Capture.
- Tap Connect Device.
- Wait until the device connects successfully.
- Once the device is ready, the Start button becomes available.
Once the device is connected, you can create a new project before scanning.
- Tap Start.
- Check the Pre-Work Inspection information.
- Review HMS, RTK, battery, and storage status.
- Choose the Acquisition Mode you need.
- Enter the Project Name.
- Set the Time Interval.
- Tap Next to continue.
Before scanning begins, the device enters the initialization stage. After that, you can start scanning and adjust the display during the process.
- Wait for the device to enter Initializing status.
- Keep the device stable during initialization.
- Do not move the device until initialization is complete.
- Start scanning and follow the live preview.
- Monitor the real-time point cloud during the scan.
- Open the Display settings when needed.
- Adjust Point Size, Points, and Transparency as needed.
- Use Focus settings such as Model Hide when necessary.
RTK setup, control point functions, and several practical outdoor scanning tips:
- Open the RTK settings panel when needed.
- Turn on RTK Account Switch and configure the account if required.
- Check the RTK Status and wait for RTK FIXED before scanning.
- Open the Add Control Point function when using control points.
- Create and manage control points such as PT1, PT2, and PT3.
- Do not place control points in a straight line.
- Keep the recommended scanning speed under 1 meter per second.
- Be careful with moving pedestrians and other interference in the scene.
- Tilt the device upward when scanning the facade.
